An American blow to Sudanese banks

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Political analyst and editor-in-chief of the current newspaper, Othman Mirghani, said that the American decision to impose sanctions will affect the Sudanese economy in death, and will freeze Sudanese banks’ communication with international banks, and this will be negatively withdrawing even on the private sector.

He stressed that the recent American decision is an attempt to pressure the government in order to go to negotiations and a peaceful settlement.

According to the analyst’s speech to Al -Jazeera Net, the decision was caused by the government’s reluctance -especially the head of the Sovereignty Council and the commander of the army, Abdel -Fattah al -Burhan -for participating in the Switzerland negotiations in August 2024.

On Thursday, the US State Department said that the United States would impose sanctions on Sudan that include restrictions on American exports to it and to reach US government credit lines after it was proven that it was used chemical weapons in 2024.
