A cruel tragedy in Umm Rawaba

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Four students died and 9 others were injured, after a “Dana” projectile exploded at Al-Haddah Elementary School in the village of “Al-Ghobsha”, east of Umm Rawaba, on Wednesday, 2025, in an accident that brought terror in the hearts of dozens of children in the village.

The “Al -Abyad Mubasher” platform concerned with monitoring the situation in the state of North Kordofan, indicated that the explosion that occurred as a result of the missile shell caused the lives of four children in the school, during the school day in the village of Al -Ghobasha, east of Umm Rawaba.

The armed forces took control of the city of Umm Rawaba and its suburbs in February 2025 after the arrival of the Rapid Support Forces since the end of the year 2023, the deployment of weapons and ammunition on civilian sites, and some schools and public institutions turned into a military base for these forces.

Weapons and ammunition in cities that the armed forces have recovered is one of the risks that threaten the lives of citizens returning to their homes and life activities, and the United Nations says it is working at low levels to get rid of military waste.
