The UN Security Council discusses the attack on Port Sudan

Follow-up- Maryam Absher- The UN Security Council set next Monday morning, New York time, as a date for a special session on Sudan.

According to a senior diplomatic source that spoke to the “Al -Muqheq” news website, the upcoming session will be held at the request of Sudan and will be devoted to discussing the recent developments of the attacks by the rebel rapid support militia, with marches on civil and vital facilities in the alternative capital Port Sudan, cities and other regions in the states of Sudan.

The source pointed out that the Sudan mission at the United Nations will be a presence in the special session of the Council to reveal the dimensions of targeting and its seriousness not only on the security of Sudan, but also the security of the whole region.
