Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese Minister of Information and the official spokesman for the government, Khaled Al-Aiser, revealed important details about the decision to ban the export of gold to the Emirates.
He said that most of the gold exports were carried out through private companies and individuals, not through official government channels.
Al -Aiser indicated in a press conference that this decision comes in response to a structural defect in the returns of gold exports, which prompted the government to take measures to control the process and ensure its restructuring in order to achieve the fairness of the distribution of returns and enhance the public treasury.
The Minister of Information explained that there are technical and economic arrangements that are currently being prepared through specialized committees, aiming to implement the prohibition decision efficiently, and cut the road on smuggling and speculation operations that negatively affected the national economy.
He stressed that these steps come within the framework of protecting the economy and enhancing its role in supporting the country’s development and financial stability.
Speaking of the political and security situation, Khaled Al -Aiser denied the existence of real internal electronic campaigns against the government, describing the false news raised by the “misleading campaigns” funded by external parties, including the Abu Dhabi authorities, and a number of political forces supporting the rebellion. He stressed that these campaigns aim to distort the image of Sudan and destabilize confidence in the armed forces, with the aim of influencing internal stability, by spreading fabricated and false information.
Al -Azar also denied everything that hesitated to leave the head of the Sovereignty Council and members of the government, noting that all officials exercise their tasks naturally from within the city of Port Sudan. He stated that the postponement of some external activities comes as a message of steadfastness and solidarity with the people, which is going through exceptional circumstances as a result of the existing war, stressing the commitment of the state leaders to continue working at this sensitive stage.
In response to the rumors claiming the escape of Sudanese officials abroad, the minister affirmed that the promoters of this news are the same ones who left the country immediately after the outbreak of the war, stressing that political and military leaders remain in their positions, and continue to perform their duties with high responsibility despite the great challenges facing the country.
Khaled Al -Aiser touched on the incident of accusing one of the ambassadors of treason, noting that this is not the first case of its kind, as Sudanese diplomacy witnessed similar cases in sensitive periods. He explained that such individual behaviors do not reflect the position of the Sudanese people or their diplomacy, which have long been distinguished by national loyalty and the honorable representation of Sudan’s issues.
Regarding the news circulating about secret visits by Sudanese officials to countries such as Israel, the minister denied categorically the validity of these allegations, and considered them attempts to distract attention from the real issues faced by Sudan, and to create a state of confusion in public opinion.
Khaled Al -Adir concluded his speech by emphasizing that the government is continuing to implement its decisions aimed at protecting the national economy, enhancing confidence in state institutions, and confronting hostilities to resolve and reveal the facts before citizens. He called on everyone to solidarity and stand one row with the armed forces and state institutions during this critical stage that Sudan is going through
