The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs reveals the details of the detention of Sudanese diplomats in the UAE for eight hours and to spy on them

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the UAE authorities issued in the past few days a decision to remove most of the Consulate General Consulate of Sudan in Dubai, without any reasons.

She noted that in a serious violation and a traveler of Vienna agreements for diplomatic and consular relations, the authorized authorities detained the deported, after completing all departure measures at Dubai Airport, for an eight -hour, while subjecting them to interrogation and spying on their phones and mobile computers, causing their flights and having to buy new tickets.

She emphasized that this unprecedented incident involves a great disregard by the UAE authorities with their obligations under international law that is imperative to protect diplomats and give them the necessary immunities and privileges, which are the basis of diplomatic, consular and guarantee relations that enable diplomats and consular employees to carry out their tasks.

The statement stressed that this practice embodies the desire to harm the Sudanese residing in the Emirates, contrary to what its powers claim, as evidence of its removal of those responsible for consular services, passports and personal documents of the Sudanese, and violating their rights and privacy.
