The Sudan consulate in Jeddah issued an alert regarding the “sponsor” retaining the passport

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudan Consulate in Jeddah drew attention to the attention of the honorable citizens that the regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia do not allow the employer to retain the expatriate passport he works for.

She said that keeping the passport falls under the personal responsibility of the passport.

She added, “In the event that the employer refrains from handing the passport to his owner, he must report to the labor office in the area where he resides.”

The Consulate General called on citizens to adhere to maintaining their passports in order to prevent the problems that may result in violating the regulations referred to above.
