Details of the earthquake of Egypt – Al -Zawiya Net

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- German Earth Science Research Center reported that an earthquake of 6.3 degrees hit the Greek island of Crete on Wednesday, and was felt by the residents of Egypt.

He added that the earthquake center was at a depth of 83 km, while residents in Egypt reported that they felt a tremor also at 10:53 GMT.

The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt said on Wednesday morning that an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit the country.

The institute said in a statement that the earthquake center was at a depth of 76 km below the surface of the Earth, 431 km north of Rashid, when the latitude of 12.35 degrees north was met and a length of 0.27 degrees east.

It was not immediately reported by victims or material losses.

The American Geological Survey monitored a 1.6 -magnitude earthquake south of the city of “Fry” in Greece at 01:51 am on Tuesday, local time, and was also felt by the residents of some Turkish cities.

Meanwhile, residents in Lebanon, Syria and Palestine reported that they felt a tremor as well at 10:53 GMT. Egyptian media and activists reported that the earthquake was strong and struck the capital, Giza, Menoufia, Qalyubia and other governorates.
