Saudi Arabia makes a decision to end the service of more than 200 Sudanese university professors and an urgent student to the Prime Minister

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Sudanese professors in Saudi universities directed an urgent student to Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris, to intervene regarding the end of the contract of Sudanese faculty members with Saudi universities.

Al -Khattab, the author, said the name of Professor Abdel -Jabbar Sheikh Bilal and Dennir Al -Khaldi on behalf of the professors, which was received by “Al -Zawiya Net” that a large number of Sudanese faculty members, who work in Saudi universities, were surprised by the decisions of the end of their contract, which caused a state of anxiety and turmoil between them, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through.

He noted that the number of those affected is at least two hundred professors and professors in various scientific and academic disciplines and have family and material connections and that their homes in Sudan were greatly damaged by the ongoing war, which makes the return at this time a very difficult, if not impossible.

The speech affirmed that the sons and daughters of the professors are linked to schools in the Kingdom, and their transfer in the middle of the school year will cause their scientific achievement and psychological stability.

The speech from the Prime Minister to intervene with the Saudi authorities to give professors a period of grace for one year, who can provide the alternative and search for new job opportunities or find appropriate alternatives, and arrange the conditions of their families, especially with regard to the stability of children educationally and psychologically, settling financial conditions and avoiding the large material losses resulting from the sudden return.

The speech added, “We are sure that your generous intervention will have a positive impact in overcoming this crisis, especially since you enjoy the wisdom and experience that qualified you to obtain the confidence of the Speaker of the Sovereignty and the Sudanese People.

The letter indicated that the professors reached the Sudanese consulate in Jeddah and submitted a memorandum in this regard, but they have not received a response yet.
