Sudan Electricity explains the reasons – Al -Zawiya Net

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Media Coordination Council at the Sudan Electricity Company issued a clarification statement in which he confirmed that what is being circulated regarding the power outages that affected hospitals and other services has nothing to do with what is rumored.

The statement pointed out that the current interruptions are due to purely technical reasons that have nothing to do with any administrative or professional negligence, stressing that the company is an ancient institution that includes the best engineers, technicians, skilled workers and an administrative staff with high professionalism.

The statement added that the workers in the sector made tremendous efforts to serve the country and the citizen, and worked in the harshest conditions during and after the war, and the Foundation is still doing its best to provide service.

The company summarized the main technical reasons for interruptions in the generation problem, as the transmission line from Meroe did not enter the state of Al -Jazeera until now, where its maintenance work is carried out after its collapse due to the sabotage of the rebel militias. Thus, the state’s electrical nutrition is currently dependent on the tank and the Umm Dabbakr thermal station only.

She pointed to the increase in loads, as the state witnessed a noticeable increase in electric loads after the return of citizens and the operation of their devices, which requires more energy to meet these increasing needs.

Repeated breakdowns in Umm Dabaker, where Umm Dabbakr thermal station suffers from the recurrence of separation operations (Black Out) as a result of the lack of balance of the loads and the increase in the required from the sake, which takes between 4-6 hours.

This repetition of breakdowns leads to the inability to feed, the hotline out of service, and increases the interruption periods.

The company emphasized that all these reasons are purely technical, stressing that the institution was one of the first entities to entered the state in conjunction with its liberation, and it worked to rehabilitate the network and is still doing its best, noting that the work did not end in all regions and needs more assistants and materials.

The Sudan Electricity Company reassured the citizens of Al -Jazira State that work is underway to increase the state’s production sources to achieve more stability in the electrical current.

The statement concluded by thanking the island’s citizen for his understanding, patience and support for the sector, calling on all platforms that circulate electricity problems not to overlook the technical side when publishing information to ensure accuracy and transparency.
