The Sudanese Minister of Health reveals frightening numbers about the spread of cholera

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese Minister of Health d. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, the recent increase in cholera infection is estimated at an average of 600 to 700 cases per week during the past four weeks in the state of Khartoum.

He pointed out that this is an expected product after the liberation of Khartoum State and the return of many regions and citizens from Jabal Awlia and Al -Salih, which led to the deterioration of environmental conditions with the problems of drinking water sources in those areas.

He pointed to the great efforts made by the Khartoum State government, United Nations agencies and international organizations operating in the state, where more than 8 cholera treatment centers were opened in addition to contributing to supplies and working in control of water and environmental criminality.

The minister stressed that the expectations indicate a decrease in the rate of injuries during the coming weeks, especially with the start of the cholera vaccination campaign in a number of localities during the coming days.
