Zain Sudan launched the financial portfolio of the BEDE, at the Marina Hotel in the administrative capital, Port Sudan, in the presence of a high-level government, represented by the Council of Sovereignty and Federal and State ministries.

She said that the service allows all subscribers of “Zain” to make financial transactions via mobile phone, without the need for a bank account or a bank card, and it is not required to use a smartphone, as this service has been developed for the service to work on all types of phones, including traditional phones.

The basic transactions available in the first stage of the service include: transferring and receiving money, charging the balance, paying bills, shopping, withdrawing and cash deposits, all through a wide network of accredited agents deployed in neighborhoods and markets. The service also allows the transfer to and from the Sudanese Islamic Bank, and the BEDE application is available in application stores for smart phone users.

The service is implemented in three stages, as the second stage includes linking the wallet with additional Sudanese banks, as well as services such as purchasing electricity, accessing various government services and paying bills and fees, while the third stage aspires Zain Ventalc Sudan through it to provide banking cards, international financial transfers services, savings and financing services, and linking with all Sudanese banks.

Professor Wafaa Sarlaft Hammoudi, General Manager of Zain Fintech Sudan, explained that the launch of the BEDE service represents a major turning point towards achieving digital transformation, promoting financial inclusion, enabling Sudanese families women and youth, and facilitating the daily life of citizens. She emphasized that BEDE has proven its success in the Gulf markets thanks to its efficiency, ease of use and high reliability.

She added that the BEDE portfolio depends on strong strategic partnerships that are compatible with the policies of the Central Bank of Sudan, which organizes and monitors the service and sets the legal frameworks and policies governing the activity of the digital portfolios to ensure compliance and organizational standards. A number of Sudanese banks, in addition to the Sudanese Islamic Bank of Faisal, are honored at the expense of trusts to ensure the safety of financial settlements and the issuance of the required reports.

Hammoudi stressed that the service is in line with the national standards to combat money laundering, anti -corruption, protect customer data, and enhance financial transparency. It is noteworthy that the BEDE application is one of the solutions of financial technology launched by the Kuwaiti “Zain” group in a number of markets in the region, and it gives priority to data security and the privacy of users, and provides a safe and integrated digital financial experience. .
