The United Nations launches a frightening warning about Sudan

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan warned Clemmanin Nkitta Salami, that the resources began to run out in the country despite the provision of international support, and wrote through the platform “X”, “The international community provides food aid to Sudan, but the resources are running out.”

She said that Sudan is classified among the first four countries in the world in the spread of sharp malnutrition, and continued, “Millions of people in Sudan face hunger, and an urgent need for urgent financing to support them.”

The war in Sudan, which has been continuing about two years ago, resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and the displacement of more than 12 million, causing the largest hunger and displacement crises in the world.

According to the United Nations estimates, nearly two million people face severe food security throughout Sudan, while 320,000 are suffering from famine conditions, and stressed that in Khartoum alone, at least 100,000 people suffer from famine conditions.

The war also led to the destruction of Sudan’s infrastructure and the collapse of its already weak economy.
