Port Sudan- Mohamed Mustafa- The General Administration of “Civil Registry was launched the first civil fingerprint transactions in the Civil Registry Department in the state of the Red Sea, and extracting the national number for all age groups, announcing its readiness to operate the national ID card system close to the Civil Registry Department in Khartoum.

The team, Mohamed Ibrahim Awadallah, the Acting Director General of the Police Forces, said that the inauguration of the civil imprint restoration and the extraction of the national number represents an effort to the employees of the Passports Authority, the Civil Registry and the General Administration of the Civil Registry.

He pointed to the keenness of the police forces to develop their services to facilitate and simplify the procedures of citizens in all states of the country, stressing the interest of the police forces in computing the police work.

For his part, the team, Moussa Sharqa Ahmed, the head of the Passports and Civil Registry Authority, praised the efforts made by the Civil Registry Department, appreciating the great support from the Ministry of Interior and the presidency of the police forces in providing work requirements. He stressed that the restoration of the civil footprint and the extraction of the national number represents an important achievement than the efforts of the armed forces and other security services in the battle of Al -Karama, stressing the continuation of the revolution of modernization and development of the Hijri actions.

In the same context, Major General Tariq Ali Surge, Director of the General Administration of Civil Registry, explained that his administration was able to restore the full and incomplete civil registry data during the war, in which the rebel militia sought to destroy the state and blur its identity. He emphasized that the restoration and securing of the civil registry took place through a joint technical and administrative team under the supervision of the Director General of the Police Forces.

Major General Surg indicated that the restoration of the civil fingerprint and the extraction of the national number represents a victory over the rebel militia, which aimed to obliterate the Sudanese identity and change the country’s population map. He praised the efforts of the head of the police forces and employees of the administration, who were able to restore all the statements of the Sudanese with pure Sudanese hands, thanks to the engineers of the Technology and Information Department.

He also indicated that 31 banks were linked to the civil registry system to help citizens replace the currency, stressing its keenness to operate the national identity card system soon, to enable citizens to obtain their identification documents easily and conveniently using modern technology in all civil registry works.
