Sudan requests the intervention of United Nations aircraft in El Fasher

Port Sudan- Al-Zawiya Net- Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander in Chief, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, representatives of the United Nations agencies and international missions residing in Sudan, called for more pressure on the rebel militia to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the displacement camps around the city of El Fasher.

During his meeting yesterday, the United Nations delegation headed by the Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan, Christina Hambork, in the presence of the Minister of Information, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry and Acting Aid Commissioner, affirmed the government’s keenness to cooperate and coordinate with all relevant authorities to facilitate the passage of humanitarian aid to all those who deserve it in the country.

For its part, the United Nations Resident Representative for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan, Christina Hambork, expressed the United Nations’s readiness to submit a proposal to be presented to all parties in a way that can contribute to addressing the complex humanitarian conditions in Al -Fasher City and Zamzam camp for the displaced.

The Minister of Culture and Information, the official spokesman for the government, Khaled Al -Aiser, explained that the Sudanese government asked the United Nations to intervene through its aircraft and carriers and under its premature to save the lives of the citizens of El -Fasher and its neighboring areas.

He said that the government asked the United Nations delegates to monitor all the crimes of the rebel militia against citizens from the bombing and siege and lifted them to the relevant international authorities.

Al -Isaar reiterated the Sudanese government’s rejection of political intervention in humanitarian work as a violation of human values ​​and international covenants.
