Egypt’s ambassador to Sudan informed Ambassador Hani Salah, member of the Sovereign Council, Assistant Commander in Chief, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, the commitment of Cairo to contribute to the reconstruction process and work to qualify a number of vital facilities in the country, especially the major Halfaya and shampoo, and the rehabilitation of the Meroe Electrical Station and providing them with spare parts and specialized technical expertise.

Jaber appreciated the roles that the Egyptian government has played in all fields and its supportive and supportive position of the Sudanese government and the Sudanese people in its ordeal and the provision of humanitarian aid and the necessary needs as well as its steadfast position towards issues related to peace, security and stability of Sudan.

He affirmed the depth and duration of bilateral relations between the two countries, especially its leadership role and its initiative in the development process and the reconstruction of the war as a result of the systematic targeting of the rebel militia of public and service facilities and civilian objects in Sudan.

The meeting touched on the ongoing developments in the various states of Sudan after the victories achieved by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the forces supporting them in the battle of dignity. The meeting also dealt with the situation in the continent, the African century, the coast, and the Sahara as well as issues related to the security of the Red Sea.

The meeting also touched on the voluntary return movement of the Sudanese and the accumulation located on the border wild crossings between the two countries and the proposed solutions.

The Egyptian ambassador explained that the meeting discussed all arrangements related to the start of reconstruction operations in Sudan and how to continue to provide humanitarian aid that Egypt has been providing during the war period.

He said that the meeting was characterized by frankness and the exchange of fruitful and constructive ideas, stressing his full support for the national state institutions in Sudan and all its affiliated bodies and bodies.

Ambassador enlightened a member of the Sovereign Council on the events and activities that will be organized during the coming period, including the second session of the Egyptian and Sudanese Businessmen Forum in the city of Port Sudan during the next few period with the participation of a number of major Egyptian businessmen and companies, and preparing for a ceremonial contract in Sudan on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of the Arab singing lady, Kawkab Al Sharq, Umm Kulthum. He also reviewed the ongoing arrangements to hold the Commercial Committee between the two countries in Cairo during the second half of this year.

The Egyptian ambassador explained that Egypt is very appreciated by Sudan’s openness and positive dealings with the institutions and offices of the United Nations bodies concerned with enforcing humanitarian aid to all parts of Sudan, including opening new airports, continuing to open the Adri crossing and many measures that the Sudanese government is keen to take to facilitate the mission of the United Nations international employees in Sudan.
