Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The surveillance tower at Jeddah Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia succeeded in saving the Sudanese Airlines plane “Sudaner” from the disaster of the morning of the fifteenth day of April two thousand and twenty-three.
The details are due to the fact that on Thursday, April 13th, the Sudanese Administration announced the resumption of its flights to Jeddah after a hiatus since 2018.
The former general manager, Captain Ibrahim Muhammad Ali Abu Bosn, issued a decision to start flights on Friday, April 14, 2023, which raised the optimism of the passengers who were eagerly awaiting this step.
Indeed, the first flight started the next day, which coincided with the outbreak of the war, as a Sudanese plane took off at seven in the morning heading to Jeddah. The plane was scheduled to return to Khartoum Airport between ten and eleven in the morning, which made everyone follow the flight developments with concern.
However, according to informed sources, the plane returned after taking off from Jeddah Airport quickly, as it was contacted with its crew by the observation tower in Jeddah, which informed them of the loss of contact with the navigation center at Khartoum Airport. Thanks to these rapid measures, the plane escaped a possible accident, as it was the Airbus 320.
