Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudan Doctors ’Network revealed that the Rapid Support Forces were detained by 154 people, including 31 women and children, in extremely bad human and health conditions, inside one of its locations in the Salha area, south of Omdurman, after their arrest from several neighborhoods in the city.

The network quoted this information about one of the survivors of the detention, noting that the detention operations took place against the background of unreal accusations, and mostly aimed at blackmailing families to pay a financial ransom in exchange for the release of their relatives, or forcing them to flee from their areas towards army control sites, as part of efforts to convert residential areas into military sites.

The network considered that the enforced support of the rapid support forces of defenseless civilians, including children and women, and restricting their freedoms, is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, and added to a long record of violations that have been documented in separate areas of the country.

The network strongly condemned what it described as “forced displacement policy”, and the use of detention centers as a means to intimidate and kill civilians, as happened with thousands of detainees in Khartoum, Al -Jazeera and other areas that were under the control of rapid support.

The Sudan Doctors ’Network called for the immediate release of all detainees, blaming the Rapid Support Forces Command fully responsible for their lives and safety.
