An urgent statement from Egypt regarding the intense bombing of Port Sudan

She said that Egypt condemns and denounces the most intense targeting of the civilian installations and infrastructure in Port Sudan at dawn today, May 6.

She stressed the seriousness of the recent escalation, and its high negative impact on the ceasefire efforts, protecting civilians, and enhancing the entry into force of humanitarian aid to the needy Sudan.

Egypt renewed its categorical rejection of any targeting of civil facilities in violation of the provisions of international humanitarian law, which harms the state’s capabilities and the daily life of citizens.
