Russia responds to Sudan’s request on missing information

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The General Authority for Geological Research (the technical arm of the Ministry of Minerals) in Sudan revealed its loss of all geological maps and technical reports on the war that led to the destruction of the headquarters of the ministry and the General Authority for Geological Research.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals, Dr. Hind Siddiq, during his meeting (Rose Gio), which was chosen by the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, a digital version of the joint project data between the two countries and previous geological information (Russian project)

She said that the Russian side immediately responded to the request, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals was handed over a paper copy of the project’s technical report, along with (2) atlas of geological maps, and Dr. Hind indicated that the digital copies of all information will be delivered to the Sudanese side later.

Meanwhile, the Russian side discussed the opportunities for investment in mining in Sudan, especially in the field of chrome and manganese mining.

The delegation of the Sudanese Ministry of Minerals asked the Russian side to send the proposals to be studied technically and then discussed between the two sides during the eighth session of the joint ministerial committee that will be held next June.

For his part, the Sudanese ambassador to Russia, Ambassador Muhammad al -Ghazali, affirmed the embassy’s willingness to simplify the procedures and facilitate the Russian side to obtain entry visas, as well as the establishment of a joint contact point between the embassy and the Rose Geo.
