Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Secretary-General of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghaly Ali Youssef, confirmed the completion of the first phase of the Republican Palace Rehabilitation Project, the end of inventory and insurance operations and the completion of 90%of the cleaning operations, which are expected to be completed before the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday.

For his part, the head of the inventory committee indicated that the committee began its work and stood on the rehabilitation operations after documenting the destruction left by the rebel militia in the palace and the building, equipment, systematic and deliberate destruction that targeted the infrastructure and historical and national heritage, especially the devastation that affected the ancient Republican Palace, the museum and the library.

He stressed that the process of rehabilitating the gardens has already begun in implementation of the directives of the Secretary -General of the Sovereign Council, and pointed out that the second stage of the rehabilitation and maintenance process will resume after the Eid al -Adha holiday, stressing their determination to restore the palace to its first biography by implementing and completing the stages of the project.
