Zain Sudan Company allocates free numbers for an important matter

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Zain Sudan, with the participation of the national mechanism of family and children’s protection units, organized, in cooperation with the Khartoum State Police, the Ministry of Social Development and the Department of Demolition Centers in the Karari locality, and the Friends of Peace and Development Organization, a week for community awareness of the dangers of war waste.

This campaign comes in light of the increasing number of victims of children and their families as a result of the explosion of the battlefields after the return of citizens to their cities and villages, which led to deaths, injuries and permanent disabilities. The campaign targets citizens residing in the shelter centers in the Karari locality, and focuses on their awareness of the dangers of war waste and the ways of safe dealing with it, in addition to enhancing the culture of immediate reporting when finding any foreign object or suspicious substance via the free number 60666.

The campaign also aims to build partnerships between government agencies and institutions working in the field of mine and explosive materials, and to provide psychological, social and legal support to the victims and their families, as well as educating families about the mechanisms of communication with the competent authorities.

It is worth that Zain had launched a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of war waste and unexploded objects, in cooperation with the Friends of Peace and Development Organization and the supervision of the National Center for Mine Control, and the campaign achieved a good spread through community media and banners in the entrances to cities, distributing awareness publications … and organizing various events.

Zain thanked all those who contributed to the success of organizing this campaign from the Khartoum State police leaders and voluntary and governmental organizations, valuing their efforts to serve the community.
