The governor praised the great efforts made by the Civil Defense Forces in controlling the fire and the speed of response and the high professionalism shown by the civil defense men and contributed greatly to containing the fire and preventing its extension to other areas, which reduced the volume of material losses in addition to the safety of citizens and workers at the site.
The governor of Khartoum saluted the steadfastness of the Sudanese people, who have been bearing the consequences of the war two years ago, adding that the citizen of the technical cadres in the Ministry of Energy and Electricity companies are standing one row to overcome the effects of this targeting and restore services as soon as possible
Engineer Ibrahim Mohamed Adam, Director of the Electricity Transmission Sector in Khartoum State, explained that what happened will be a major challenge in providing electrical supply, especially as it is directly related to water supply and medical services, but the technical teams started immediately to work to repair breakdowns in coordination with the Meroe Dam Administration.
For his part, Major General Dr. Al -Matari Ahmed Al -Quni, Director of Civil Defense, Khartoum State, confirmed that the attack took place simultaneously on several sites, which represented a great challenge, but the rapid response and strong determination of the civil defense men enabled the control of the fire in a short time and Al -Quni considered that targeting electricity stations does not affect electricity alone, but rather a direct targeting of the citizen’s life and complete disruption of services.
