She said that Türkiye also sent 154 relief trucks to Sudan via Egypt, which is nearing the entry of Sudanese territory.
The Turkish air ambulance plane arrived at the Port Sudan airport on Sunday evening, where it spent less than two hours in the city before it took off again towards the Turkish city of Antalya. The Learjet 45XR plane, with the TC-SSB registration, had taken off from Istanbul International Airport earlier, reflecting rapid movements in the area.
So far, the nature of the task carried out by the plane, whether to transport patients or to carry out an emergency medical mission, has not been revealed at a time when ambiguity around the health conditions in the city, which suffers from the consequences of the continuous security and humanitarian crises.
The arrival of the plane coincided with reports that humanitarian fears have increased in Port Sudan, especially after the recent attacks in the drones that targeted the facilities near the airport.
In this context, the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority announced the resumption of air navigation at the Port Sudan airport, a few hours after the work was suspended after the attack by the aircraft running by the Rapid Support Forces.
