Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Information on the issuance of permits to cross the military shipping aircraft, the atmosphere of Sudan to Chad, is likely to be carried by arms shipments and military equipment to the Rapid Support Forces during 2023 AD, amid calls to investigate the authorities that issued these approval without the knowledge of the ruling military authorities.

The authorities excluded relief and evacuation of foreigners from the decision to close the airspace, which they issued after the outbreak of the conflict on April 15, 2023, before opening the eastern path to the crossroads from July 31, 2024.

Civil aviation -related sources told “Sudan Tribune”, that “the Air Transport Department issued transit permits for 109 flights to the ILU -76 Military Military Military Cargo Aircraft, without the army’s knowledge, between May and July 2023.”

It reported that military shipping aircraft took off from the Emirates, passing through the Anteby Airport in Uganda, and from it to southern Sudan before crossing the Sudanese airspace, to land at Umm Jars Airport in Chad.

Sudan accuses the UAE of providing rapid support with the weapons it connects through flights landing at Umm Jars Airport, after which it is transported to West Darfur, and from there to the military operations sites in Darfur and others.

The information obtained by “Sudan Tribune” shows that the flights that crossed Sudan through permits made by 9 aircraft, including the UR-Z (Zetavia) registered in Ukraine, the EX-76005 and EX-76008 planes (Sapsan Airlines/Bu Shames Fze) registered in Kyrgyzstan, UR-FSA and UR-FSC aircraft And UR-FSE (Fly Sky Airlines) registered in Ukraine.

The sources said that the agent of collection of air transit fees asked the employees to issue financial bills for military shipping aircraft flights later, although the permits were issued without the knowledge or approval of the army officials.

She explained that the southern Sudanese airspace was under the control of air navigation in Khartoum, according to an agreement concluded by the International Civil Aviation Organization in 2016.

It demanded that an immediate investigation be opened to disclose the authority that issued traffic permits, provided that the investigation includes all the members and officers of the Department of Air Transport who were in responsibility sites during the period from May to September 2023.

The Department of Air Transport allows the aircraft to cross the atmosphere of Sudan after submitting an application 24 hours ago that includes the information of the letters of registration, call, symbol, load, location of takeoff and headquarters, and some of the transit permits require a return to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Military Services.

The information obtained by “Sudan Tribune” included the details of 9 military transport planes that crossed the airspace of Sudan during the period from May 16 to July 15, 2023, in at least 57 trips.

The sources reported that 4 of these aircraft are registered in Ukraine, and the rest in Kyrgyzstan, including SABAns for Airlines, New Way Air Shipping, Flai Sky Airlines, fly Sky and Zetia, the new road to shipping.

The 57 trips from which “Sudan Tribune” achieved is 39 trips organized by the fly Sky Airlines, 10 trips organized by Sabasan, 5 flights for the new road, and 3 trips to Zitia.

On October 15, 2024, the US State Department of conflict observatory said it followed 35 flights between June 2023 and May 2024 from the Emirates to Umm Jars Airport to transport weapons to the Rapid Support Forces.

The observatory reported that three out of four planes took off from the Emirates to Umm Jars Airport with a history of arms smuggling, as it was part of an Emirati air bridge to support Khalifa Haftar in Libya, including the EX-76003 and EX-76010 planes.

He indicated that satellite images confirm the presence of a military structure at Umm Jars Airport, including aircraft and berms, which raises doubts that building the airport is only dedicated to the hospital in the Umm Jars area.

The UAE says that it has established a hospital in the Umm Jars area to treat fleeing from the conflict in Sudan, but the refugees are in Adri, and many of them organized protests on Abu Dhabi’s use of Umm Jars Airport.

Reuters reported last December 12 that it had monitored the take off of 170 flights, which are located in the UAE, to Umm Jars Airport, of which at least 86 flights took off from Al Ain airports, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.

She said that many flights were briefly stopped at Nairobi and Mombasa airports in Kenya, Anteby Airport in Uganda, Kigali Airport in Rwanda, and Boussabo Airport in the semi -independent Buntland state in Somalia.

The sources told “Sudan Tribune” that the discovery and pressure that was pursued on the UAE for using Umm Jars Airport in providing rapid support with weapons and war hard equipment, led them to change the destinations of the air bridge.

It stated that Abu Dhabi turned to the transfer of weapons to rapid support from gathering and unloading points and re -crawls at the airports and ports of five African countries, located in the UAE maritime military base in the city of Boussaso, Somali.

She said that weapons are transported from this base through an air bridge that passes through Nigeria, Central Africa and Djibouti, to the airports of Emnsina and Abrie in Chad, and from there to Nyala Airport in South Darfur.

The first flight at Nyala International Airport landed on September 21, 2024, shortly after restarting it by rapid support, which stressed its protection through the systems of confusion and air protection, which it is likely obtained from the Emirates.

A former Sudanese government official said that the monitoring through the radar reconnaissance apparatus “Flight Radar 24 Hours” and the modern reconnaissance system “ADS.B Tracker”, confirms the decline of at least 115 flights at Nyala Airport.

The sources said that most of the flights landing at Nyala Airport takes off from the “Boussabo” airport in Somalia, passing through the Angelina or Abshi rain, and that some aircraft landed in dirt in the south and west of Kordofan.

She pointed out that the flights that take off from “Boso” or from a military base inside the Djibouti airport range from 100 to 120 tons, where they land at the airport of Entensina, and after that the aircraft closes the “Transponder” device to prevent the reception of radar signals and to prevent flights from the appearance of reconnaissance systems, so that its final destination will be Nyala Airport.

On April 24, 2025, the Middle East E -newspaper said that Abu Dhabi uses one of the airport in Somalia on a daily basis to smuggle weapons for the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan.

The newspaper quoted an unnamed source as saying that Abu Dhabi is using Boussabo Airport daily to support the rapid support forces, as large shipping aircraft arrive regularly to load weapons and ammunition, and sometimes it reaches five large shipments at one time.

The newspaper pointed out that Abu Dhabi deployed a military radar in the Somali Puntland area earlier this year to defend Boussabo Airport against the potential Houthi attacks from Yemen.

The newspaper published a photo of the satellite taken in early March, which it said was an Israeli-made radar of the active electronia, which was installed near the airport.

A regional source said: “The UAE installed the radar shortly after the rapid support was lost control of most of the hose in early March.”

The sources that spoke to “Sudan Tribune” revealed that the Emirati bridge trips to Nyala were leaving empty after unloading its cargo from the war hardware, but in the recent period it was leaving weighing and loading the same weight and load of the arrival trip.

It was suggested that the rapid support has become the smuggling of gum gum, gold, copper and antiquities, and the evacuation of its wounded fighters, through the aircraft that connect Nyala Airport loaded with war hardware.

Al -Junaid Company, which is owned by Rapid Support for Gold in Sinqo and Aldoum mines in the state of South Darfur. The forces also impose fees that are taken in the eyes of thousands of civilians who produce the yellow metal in these areas.

The United Nations Experts team stated, in a report published last April, with the purchase of rapid support and traders close to the gold from the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahed Mohamed Nour, extracted from a mine located east of Jabal Marra.

He said that this mine ranges between a kilogram to three kilograms per day, as one kilo is sold in mines at 72 thousand dollars, while its price in official markets reaches 85 thousand dollars.
