The General Traffic Department announces the return of an order after two years of stopping

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The General Traffic Department announced the completion of its preparations to celebrate the Arab Traffic Week, which is held annually on the fourth to the tenth of May, with the aim of raising the level of traffic awareness among citizens and enhancing road safety efforts.

The celebrations have stopped during the past two years as a result of the security conditions that the country went through as a result of the war.

Major General Dr. Sirajuddin Mansour Khaled, Director of the General Traffic Department, in a statement to the police press office that the activities of the Traffic Week will return this year, starting from the state of Khartoum, in addition to implementing parallel programs in the rest of the safe states according to the plan set for each state, within the framework of the joint endeavor to spread traffic culture and reduce accidents.

Major General Siraj pointed out that the week will witness comprehensive awareness and educational programs targeting various segments of society, as well as field activities and activities that review the efforts of the police in preserving lives on the roads.

He added that the slogan of this year (you slow down a life) is not just words, but it is a direct guidance for every driver and user of the road that safety starts from individual commitment and said we believe that the citizen is a key partner in achieving traffic safety and therefore we emphasize the importance of commitment to traffic instructions to protect lives and property.

He revealed that the week will also witness discounts in traffic fees, in addition to providing advice, guidance, guidance and awareness, in order to encourage citizens to reconcile their conditions, complete licensing procedures, extract driving licenses, in commitment to legal controls, and an affirmation of the community’s community’s direction in providing their services in a positive spirit.

The Director of the General Traffic Department pointed out that the activities of the Traffic Week this year will focus on awareness, programs and services without festive manifestations or festivals and will include visits to the families of the martyrs and the wounded in the war of dignity in appreciation of their sacrifices.

He concluded his speech by saying that the return of the Arab Traffic Week to the state of Khartoum after two years is an invitation to everyone to contribute to the success of this event by adhering to the regulations in the use of roads and active participation in awareness activities because the road belongs to everyone and your safety begins with you.
