Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Petroleum Consultant in the State of South Sudan, Mohamed Lino, announced the arrival of the southern Sudanese crude oil shipment at the marine station in Port Sudan.
He confirmed the readiness of the shipment to export to global markets, in a move that is an important progress in oil cooperation between Juba and Khartoum.
This came during an expanded meeting held in Port Sudan, which included a high -level technical delegation from South Sudan representing the national oil companies operating in the country (De Book, GBK, Skook, and Nile Bit), along with officials from the Sudanese Ministry of Energy and Petroleum and the company “Bapco”, where the two parties discussed the final arrangements for the launch of the export process.
For his part, Eng. Mohamed Salah Othman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sudanese Ministry of Energy, confirmed the completion of preparations from the Sudanese side to start exporting oil, indicating that the rate of oil flow currently amounts to 110 thousand barrels per day, which is pumped from the “Palm 1” field located in southern Sudan.
