The northern governor rejects a step taken by Minawi and warns

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The northern governor of Abdin Awadallah Muhammad rejected a map attributed to Mona Arko Minawi, the governor of the Darfur region, which included illegal amendments within the borders of the Sudanese regions, which included deducting part of the northern state lands and annexing it to the Darfur region.

He said in a statement that in the northern state government, we categorically reject this map and confirm that the borders of the northern state are known, historically and legal, according to the official administrative borders of the Sudanese state approved since independence.

He added, “In any way, it is not possible to accept any attempts to change these limits without referring to the constitutional institutions and the competent authorities.

He stressed that the unity of Sudan and the integrity of its lands is a red line that cannot be exceeded, and that any attempts to redraw the border in illegal ways are a clear violation of the state’s sovereignty and an infringement of the rights of citizens.

He called on the federal government to immediately intervene to clarify the matter and put an end to any attempts that would arouse sedition and destabilize the country.

He called on the people of the northern state to adhere to their unity and history, stand one row in the face of any attempt to prejudice their lands and their rights and complete commitment to preserve the security and stability of the state, and work within the framework of the law to protect the rights of our citizens.
