Port Sudan- Al-Zawiya Net- Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council met the Assistant Commander in Chief, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, in his office today, Attorney General Mawlana Al-Fateh Tayfour.
During the meeting, his sovereignty was briefed on the performance of the Public Prosecution and its report for the year 2024 AD, the draft amendment of the Constitutional Court Law, the draft law on compensation affected by the war and the draft law of cooperation in criminal issues.
The Public Prosecutor indicated in a press statement that the public prosecutor’s report for the year 2024 AD included the killing of the governor Khamis Abkar, whose trial will begin on the twentieth of next April and the reports of the attack on the cities of Al -Geneina, Arddat, and Khartoum alongside the reports of political partners.
The Public Prosecutor explained that he presented an enlightenment to the Sovereign Council member about the results of his external and internal visit to Sennar states, the White Nile, Al -Jazeera and the state of Khartoum, during which he stood on the size of the spread of police and public prosecution departments in those states.
The Public Prosecutor stressed that the administrative and criminal work of the Public Prosecution is going in full swing, and that there is no room for impunity, calling on citizens to go to the prosecutions to submit communications and witnesses in the violations they were exposed to during the war period, indicating the presence of the national platform for citizens in places that have no penalties to submit their communications.
He stressed the keenness of the Public Prosecution that the work be in accordance with proper procedures and the requirements of a fair trial in a manner that guarantees the full rights of the victims and the accused.
