Port Sudan- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese Ministry of Health has handed over a number of ambulances, through the National Agency for Emergency Welfare and Ambulance, as part of the grant from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, in a move aimed at completing the requirements for operating Khartoum International Airport.
The delivery took place in the presence of the representative of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Esmat Mustafa, and the Director of the Civil Defense Department of the General Administration of State Airports, Lt. Col. Mohamed Abdel -Qader, along with a number of ministry leaders.
During press statements after the delivery ceremony, Esmat Mustafa explained that this step comes in response to a request made by the Sudan Airports Company, in the context of efforts to rehabilitate the airport after the victories achieved by the armed forces and support forces in the liberation of Khartoum.
He pointed out that the delivery of the two ambulances is part of an integrated plan for reconstruction and equipping the airport in preparation for its opening in the near future.
For his part, Lt. Col. Mohamed Abdel -Qader thanked the Ministry of Health for the provision of ambulances, stressing that its presence is one of the basic requirements for operating the airport and receiving returning citizens.
