A 19th Division Meroe Division after a wave of attacks in marches

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Division of the 19th Meroe Infantry Division of the Sudanese Army announced the success of the ground defenses in the response and launch of counter-attacks of a number of suicide bomber planes (Drones) launched by the Rapid Support Forces towards Meroe Air Force Base today, Tuesday, and the marches also targeted the city of Dabba also at the same time.

The leadership said in a journalist circular issued in the early hours of today, Tuesday, that the monitoring and military radars devices monitored the flight of a group of drones, in preparation for targeting al -Qaeda and Al -Muqtada facilities, before the ground air defense units intervened to disable and drop them completely without any material or human damage within the base.

The leadership of the 19th Division, stationed within the path of defending the Sudanese capital in the north, renewed its complete readiness to deal with any similar threats, stressing that “our units remain on the edematization of the constant preparation to protect our air bases and secure the cities and regions of the northern state from any aggression.”

This confrontation comes in the context of the escalation of air attacks between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, which has been adopted since the outbreak of the conflict in April 2023 increasingly on the tactics of suicide aircraft and the march to destabilize military and strategic sites
