An unexpected message from Taher Hajar to Gabriel and Menawi in Port Sudan

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Al-Taher Hajar, a former member of the Sovereign Council, said that what is happening to his companions in reference to “Minawi and Gabriel” in Port Sudan at the hands of the remnants of the defunct regime is the result of wrong options that we have repeatedly warned of, and noted that the war you entered is not your war, and political solutions were possible.

He continued in a Facebook tweet, “From the heart of El -Fasher, we put forward a clear initiative with my companion, Dr. Al -Hadi Idris: stipulating the withdrawal of the armed forces, the departure of the Rapid Support Forces, provided that the city administration will pass security for the joint forces.”

He said that personal ambitions and the sale of receivables turned the solution into a tragedy, so they were forced to evacuate civilians for fear that they would turn into hostages or human shields.

And Hajar added, “My comrades are not the fuel of eternal war and return to wisdom are still possible, and your struggle must be directed to build peace, not to ignite fire.”
