Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese Ambassador in Egypt discussed the first corner of Imad Al-Din Mustafa Adawi, with Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Faraj- President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, preparing a study of the construction of the logistical region on the Sudanese border.
The meeting came to follow up the implementation of the assignment issued by the thirty -seventh session of the Council of Arab Transport Ministers (November 2024), which stipulated the assignment of the academy to prepare an integrated study on the establishment of logistical areas on the Sudanese border, in coordination with the government of the Republic of Sudan.
His Excellency Dr. Bahgat Abu Al -Nasr – Director of the Transport and Tourism Department at the League of Arab States and the head of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Transport Ministers, and His Excellency Minister Muhammad Khair – Advisor to the President of the Academy, along with Dr. Hossam Hussein, the economic advisor at the Sudan embassy in Cairo.
During the meeting, the Faculty of International Transport and Logistics team at the Academy presented a detailed presentation on the study prepared by the Academy, opportunities, future prospects and projects emanating from the establishment of the region.
Ambassador Imad Adawi praised the study submitted by the Academy, appreciating the scientific professionalism and the high accuracy that characterized the work, expressing Sudan’s thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Professor Dr. President of the Academy for his great efforts in order to support and implement this strategic project.
Ambassador Adawi congratulated the President of the Academy on the occasion of the Academy obtaining the first position at the level of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the eighth Arab position in the British Times classification of the impact of universities in achieving the sustainable development goals.
Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Academy, affirmed the academy’s keenness to continue scientific cooperation with the Republic of Sudan, pointing to the pioneering role played by the Academy as an Arab and international experience in the fields of education, training, research and consulting.
The study is scheduled to be presented in its final form on the thirty -eighth session of the Arab Transport Ministers Council – November 2025, and the executive office of the Council, in preparation for its approval and approval.
