A Turkish plane carrying 37 tons landing at Port Sudan airport

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Sudan received, at the Port Sudan Airport, the medical aid plane provided by the Turkish government represented by the Turkish Ministry of Health, which is intended to combat the cholera epidemic, and includes a shipment of supplies and intravenous solutions with a total weight of 37 tons.

The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, d. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, that the protocol signed between the Sudanese and Turkish Ministries of Health contributed to providing aid.

For his part, Turkish Chargé d’Affaires Cartal Owz said that the Turkish plane carries 37 tons of medical aid for combating cholera and other epidemics.

He pointed out that the rest of the materials will arrive across the sea in the coming days and stressed that this aid reflects Türkiye’s standing by Sudan, adding that his country also provided quick assistance to put out the fires that were recently erupted in Port Sudan.
