Anonymous fate of (10) thousand wounded in Nyala

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- More than 10,000 wounded elements of rapid support in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, western Sudan and other cities in the region, and Kordofan are awaiting treatment, despite the decrease in the hopes of obtaining health care in light of the increasing complaints of their neglect.

A rapid support soldier, according to Darfur 24, said that the treatment of the fighting wounded “has become a very complicated file, as patronage and mediation control, especially those who travel for treatment outside Sudan.”

He pointed out that the Rapid Support Command entrusted the wounded file of the President of the Advisory Council, Hudhayfah Abu Nuba, with his presence in the city of Nyala, which has become a vital center for the forces.

An injured person said that he was wounded in the shelling, which killed the Rapid Support Commander in the state of Sennar Abdul Rahman Al -Bishi on July 20, 2024.

He added, leaning on an iron machine, that he “is looking for a way to treat abroad since his injury, after doctors were unable to treat him, as all attempts to travel failed because he does not have a medium.”

He continued: “The plane comes, the injured are evacuated, and we only hear about it,” and the injured facilities said that the specialized hospital asked him to agree with a written approval from the medical unit of the Rapid Support Forces so that he can complete the treatment procedures for his brother for free.

He added: “I went to the medical unit, and I found the administrative procedures to extract approval very easy, in terms of that they asked me one question whether my brother was a soldier or an alien and where I was injured.”

He stated that they wrote a memorandum sealed with the seal of the Rapid Support Forces, the medical unit, and it contains numbers and letters besides the signing.

And he added: “All medical procedures were free from hospital fees, operation fees, medicines and ruler that are placed inside fractures.”

A committee that includes the Intelligence Intelligence and representatives of the National Administration is supervised by the Taj Al -Din Medical Complex in the city of El -Geneina, West Darfur, to treat the wounded forces from all axes.

Medical sources said that some of the wounded who arrived at the complex were treated, while others were traveling through the Chad Road to other countries to receive health care.

She stated that all surgeries in the complex are performed for free, as the supervisory committee raises the total costs of the commander of the second high support forces, Abdul Rahim Daklu, who is transferring to them every month.

The subject of the supervision of a civil committee on the treatment of the wounded sparked widespread controversy, as some of its members followed accusations of working in isolation from the executive management of the community to inflate the amount of financial claims.

Difficult travel

One of the high support leaders supervising the treatment of the wounded abroad told Darfur 24 that the forces ’leadership spent millions of dollars to treat the injured in some countries that he described as the friend, refusing to mention it.

He pointed out that the continuation of the military operations for more than two years resulted in a rise in the number of wounded, especially the serious injuries that need urgent intervention, and continued: “Always, we give priority to serious injuries.”

He stated that the serious cases are being evacuated by land and air to a neighboring country, in preparation for their transfer to countries with advanced capabilities to treat wars injuries.

The Medical Unit of the Rapid Support Forces in the Shambat area of ​​Khartoum Bahri was bombed in the early days of the outbreak of the conflict, before most of its employees left to the neighboring countries, which made the wounded treatment file thorny.

A wounded of rapid support received treatment abroad to “Darfur 24” that some of them were evacuated to Umm Jars Airport in Chad, while others stated that the deportations of some wounded, especially in recent months, were evacuated from Nyala Airport.

They reported that, at the beginning of the outbreak of the war, the wounded from the state of Khartoum through a small plane landed in an earthen runway in the border areas of Kordofan and Darfur off the border strip.
