Canada announces a project for 5 million women in Sudan

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Canada Embassy in Sudan announced a new project to improve health services for about 5 million women and girls and support victims of sexual violence, training more than 2000 health workers, and enhances support for survivors.

The embassy said in a tweet on the “X” platform, that Canada “launched a project for sexual and reproductive health rights to improve access to life -saving health services for women and girls in Sudan.”

She pointed out that the project aims to reach more than 5 million women and girls, in addition to supporting victims of sexual violence, gender -based violence and training more than two thousand workers in the health sector.

It stated that the project will be implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund and the World Health Organization.
