The northern state raises the maximum degree after the transfer of the battles to a strategic area

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Armed Resistance in the Wadi Halfa and the administrative unit in the Abi region in the northern state announced that the state of security readiness to the maximum degree following the militia forces’ control over the administratively affiliated to the Triangle area to the state.

The popular resistance deployed hundreds of militants and military vehicles today, Monday, June 16, 2025, in the streets of the city, and leaders of the resistance announced the willingness of the forces to defend the northern state.

The head of the security committee and the executive director of the Wadi Halfa locality, Abu Ubaidah Mirghani Burhan, said that the military reinforcements that reached the western side of the Nile in northern Sudan are ready to defend the state and the entire country.

Mirghani called on citizens in the northern state for not paying attention to the rumors launched by the media rooms of the militia forces, stressing that security is at its best.

Meanwhile, the militia declared its control over the strategic location of the “Karb al -Tom” mountains on the border between the northern state and the Darfur region.

Eyewitnesses and local sources told “Darfur 24” that the rapid support took control of the area after the withdrawal of the joint force of the armed movements allied with the army.

They pointed out that the joint force withdrew to the “Jabal Aton” area, which has controlled it since last May.

The Karb Al -Tom Mountains are gaining strategic importance because it is a vital corridor of supply between Darfur and Kordofan, and it is part of the Sudanese desert areas adjacent to areas such as “monk” and “palm”.
