Sudanese face a harsh fate in Egypt

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The security authorities in Egypt referred four people holding Sudanese citizenship to the criminal trial on charges of possessing and promoting narcotic substances in the Nasr City area in the capital, Cairo, after they were seized.

The referral decision came as a criminal court after the security services arrested the Sudanese defendants earlier, after a video clip circulated through social media platforms showing a group of people with the nationality of the State of Sudan while they were trading in narcotic drugs.

After the examination and investigations, the security services succeeded in identifying and controlling the perpetrators of the incident, and they were 4 people, and they were found in their possession a quantity of “ice” and a sum of money.

The Egyptian Public Prosecution decided to imprison the defendants for 15 days pending investigations on June 9, before referring them to the criminal trial.

Initial investigations indicate that the defendants were planning to distribute narcotic drugs in specific circles in the Nasr City area, which is one of the vital areas in the Egyptian capital.

The defendants confessed to their trafficking in narcotic drugs, noting that they were registered with a drug trade in their country before they came to Egypt, and entered the country through smuggling.

The defendants indicated that they re -promoting narcotic substances, especially the ice drug, as soon as they came to Egypt with the intention of unlawful profit
