The Justice and Equality Movement was the first to objected to the decisions of Kamel Idris to dissolve the government, and the political secretary of the Justice and Equality Movement Mutasim Ahmed Saleh said that the decision to fully dissolve the government by the Prime Minister, including peace ministers, is contrary to the Juba Agreement of the peace of Sudan, and exceeds internationally agreed guarantees.
He noted that the government’s solution not only affects the balance of power that the agreement established, but also threatens the credibility of the obligations towards the parties to peace, and weakens confidence in the path of political transition, which may affect the cohesion of the internal front in light of a very complex circumstance.
Mutasim affirmed that Article 8.3 of the Juba Agreement for the Peace of Sudan constitutes a legal and political guarantee for the stability of the parties to the peaceful process parties within the institutions of government until the end of the transitional period.
