Hamdouk raises controversy with shocking statements

Hamdouk rejected the Associated Press questions about the weapons coming from the UAE, saying that those who shed light on the Gulf state and ignore other parties – such as Iran accused of supporting the army – but rather “they are pushing a specific narration.”

He stressed that the recent military gains announced by the Sudanese Armed Forces in the capital Khartoum and some other areas will not put an end to the civil war that has been taking place for more than two years, considering that “there is no military solution to this conflict.”

Pointing out that any path of sustainable peace must address structural disparities in development, identity divisions and the role of religion in the state.
