A big event in Wadda Halfa

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudanese Company for Mineral Resources Ltd., within the framework of social responsibility projects for the year 2025 AD, delivered a qualitative support for the Wadi Halfa water network, which is to implement an integrated project to supply high-quality HDP pipes with a length of 5 km.

The volume of financing amounted to 250 million pounds from the company, in addition to supplementary support from the local Wadi Halfa locality, which amounted to 100 million pounds, bringing the total cost of the project to 350 million pounds.

The project aims to radically address the water crisis by improving the infrastructure and expanding the network, using 8 inches diameter pipes, which are considered to be a long life -lifetime and high pressure and environment.

The implementation of the project witnessed the presence of the Executive Director of the locality, Mr. Abu Ubaida Mirghani Burhan, and a number of official and technical leaders, along with representatives of the Supreme Council of the people of Wadi Halfa.

The Executive Director of the locality stressed that this project represents a real shift in the water services in the region, appreciating the great support from the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, which was guaranteed by most of the funding, noting that the contribution of the local of 100 million came in support to complete the necessary connections and implement the network in an optimal way.

For his part, the director of the Sudanese company’s office in the northern state, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al -Nadif, explained that the project was sponsored and carefully from the Director General, Mr. Mohamed Taher Omar, and embodies the company’s commitment to improving the lives of local communities, noting that the quantities received were placed according to technical studies that cover the needs of the root solution for the Wadi Halfa water network.

The Director of the Supreme Council for the people of Wadi Halfa also expressed the council’s praise and blessing of this important step, stressing that it represents a real response to a request for years for years, and that the project will contribute to improving the quality of life in the region
