The Ministry of Urban Planning issues a statement regarding the removal of random housing in Khartoum

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Ministry of Urban Planning issued the state of Khartoum, a statement regarding what some are promoting that the authorities removed the homes of citizens in the Al-Khairat area in the east of the Nile.

She said that this is an attempt to stir public opinion and incite citizens with motives that are not related to the truth of the issue, as the Ministry of Urban Planning operates in accordance with the law that regulates how to obtain lands.

She noted that the village of Al -Khairat was established in the Al -Fateh scheme in the east of the Nile dedicated to citizens through the housing plan, where some encroached on the plan and lived in it randomly without any document.

She emphasized that the land mafia sold the lands of the plan to innocent citizens who do not know that these lands are owned by others with research certificates issued by land records.

She added, “The landowners filed repeated complaints to the competent authorities, in which they mentioned that they were unable to receive their lands due to the random infringement of them, and that the inhabitants of slums prevented the owners from reconstructing their lands.”

She pointed out that within the framework of the Ministry’s responsibility to protect lands and remove random encroaches and enable the owners of rights to construct their homes, she warned the residents of slums to evacuate and give them sufficient deadline to reconcile their conditions, and the competent authorities fulfilled all legal procedures before the implementation of the removal.

The Ministry of Urban Planning appealed to citizens to follow the legal procedures in obtaining lands and warned of the danger of infringement on the lands of the state and individuals outside the official procedures.
