Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The Sudan Doctors ’Network revealed the arrest of the Rapid Support Militia for civilians in the city of Al-Dahin, East Darfur State, in the west of the country, and their choice between fighting in its ranks and paying a financial extension.

The network said, in a statement, that a force of rapid support “arrested 178 people, including a medical staff, in the city of Al -Dahin as part of its campaign for the forced recruitment of civilians and forced them to fight in its ranks after joining the war.”

She pointed out that the rapid support chose the detainees between the fighting alongside it or the payment of a financial ransom in exchange for their release.

The network of doctors expressed its regret to take the nursing staff, Hamdan Abdullah Moussa, among the detainees, and the choice of his family between paying the ransom or pushing him to the ranks of the fighting.

It demanded that the international community be pressure on rapid support to stop these practices that are incompatible with international norms, as it considered it a crime against isolation civilians.

The network condemned the forced detention and subjugation of civilians in the conflict and pushing them to the ranks of the fighting in a way that violates all human and international laws, and put them in detention without regard to the lowest human rights.
