A Sudanese official reveals developments about the Al -Burhan visit to Moscow and the nature of relations with Israel

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The head of the Sudanese delegation at the Moscow International Security Forum, Abbas Bakhit, denied the existence of any secret relations between Sudan and Israel.

He stressed that any steps towards the official normalization between the two countries require the approval of an elected parliament, which is currently awaiting its formation.

This came during press statements on the sidelines of his participation in the activities of the forum, where Bakhit revealed preparations for an upcoming visit to the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Abdel -Fattah al -Burhan to Moscow in October to participate in the Russian Arab Summit.

He explained that security and intelligence cooperation with Russia is witnessing a remarkable development, while the agreement to establish a Russian military base in Sudan remains pending until the new parliament is ratified.

Bakhit warned of the repercussions of the US sanctions on the Sudanese economy, pointing to the dangers of an international plan to divide and isolate the country, and linking the Ukrainian crisis to Western polarization to include Kiev to NATO and the European Union, which sparked a wave of controversy over Sudan’s strategic priorities between East and West.

This controversy comes at a time when reports are escalating of secret negotiations between Sudan and Israel, despite the official negation, as previous sources revealed an unannounced visit to the Al -Burhan Envoy to Tel Aviv to discuss military support in exchange for accelerating normalization.
