The President of Djibouti reveals exciting details about the role of the UAE in the region

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- President Ismail Omar Qila criticized the UAE during an interview with RFI, accusing it of exploiting its billions of dollars in Africa as a cover for expansion and increasing its military influence.

He said: “The Emiratis are destabilizing the region strongly.” The president stressed that the Emirati investments are not purely economic projects, but rather intertwined with military targets that threaten the sovereignty and stability of African countries.

He revealed that Djibouti had previously rejected a request from the Emirates to establish a military base on its soil.

He added that the UAE, after this refusal, has re -directed its efforts to neighboring countries, in an effort to obtain a strategic foothold along the main maritime roads.
