Khartoum- Abdel-Raouf Taha- In the last meter battle in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, the Sudanese army was able to cause a severe defeat with the rapid support forces in the suburb of Al-Salha, the far south of Omdurman, after fierce battles that lasted at one pace over a few days, recovering the latest rapid support strongholds in Khartoum, and announced that they were free of rebellion.

Khartoum has been the scene of the war since it started more than two years ago in April 2023, when the capital witnessed violent armed confrontations in which the army took control of parts, and rapid support for other areas larger in the beginning, after which the army could remove them from all Khartoum, including state institutions and governance.

Last March, the Sudanese army regained the entire state of Khartoum, with the exception of the Al -Salha suburb, where rapid support was placed after fled from the center of Khartoum.

Today, the spokesperson for the Sudanese army, Brigadier Nabil Abdullah, announced the completion of the purification of the Khartoum state from any presence of the militia of the “Al Daklu terrorist” militia.

Abdullah said in a press statement, “The purification of the Khartoum from the impurity of the rebels and their aides confirms that it is completely free of rebels,” adding, “We renew our covenant with our people by continuing our efforts until the last inch of our country from every rebel, traitor and agent.”

Since last March, the “suburb of Al -Saha” has remained the postponed battle for the Sudanese army, especially as it is the only stronghold in which the Rapid Support Forces are located inside Khartoum, and days ago the army was active to restore it through intense ground operations backed by air strikes that achieved the desired target.

The officer in the Special Labor Forces, Fath Al -Alim Al -Shobli, says to Al -Jazeera Net that the presence of the militia in the suburb of Al -Saha was a stumbling block in front of the entire liberation of Khartoum, and there is no doubt that his displacement would recover the capital Khartoum.

He added that the rapid support and its previous presence in the suburb of Al -Salha mainly wanted to delay the Khartoum Declaration entirely liberated, which means that the armed forces leave the direction in the west and the pursuit of the militia in the areas between Omdurman and Al -Abyad and to enhance its operational position in North Kordofan and progress towards the liberation of Al -Nahoud in West Kordofan and Dubbat in the state of South Kordofan.

The Al -Shobli officer revealed that the army forces in the “Al -Saha” axis succeeded in great excellence in penetrating the defenses of the Rapid Support Militia, and managed to hit their defenses and seized a quantity of vehicles, weapons and ammunition, and targeted prominent leaders, which led to the escape of many numbers of its affiliates in the west towards Kordofan.

And members of the Sudanese army published pictures showing spoils that they obtained after the battles of Al -Salha suburb – including ammunition, weapons and enlightening – and pictures that show the destruction of combat cars belonging to rapid support.

The army also released more than 50 families who were being held by rapid support, and they appeared in a difficult healthy situation confirming that they were subjected to “harsh” treatment during their families.

The greatest goal

Observers believe that the army’s restoration is the suburb of Al -Salha, paving the way for the advancement towards towns and cities in the state of North Kordofan, west of Khartoum.

A source for Al -Jazeera Net says that the road from Omdurman to North Kordofan has become Salik after the restoration of the righteous, and that the army will use the exports road between them to advance towards the depth of the Kordofan region and the restoration of cities under the control of rapid support, such as Al -Nahoud, Bara and Al -Fula to Darfur.
