Detecting the use of American aircraft to attack Port Sudan

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Sudan delegate to the United Nations, Ambassador Al-Harith Idris, said that Sudan has accurate information and intelligence monitoring confirming that the attack on Port Sudan was launched from an Emirati military base, using aircraft that is likely to be a MQ-9B or MQ-9 and suicide marches, with logistical support from marine ships belonging to the Emirates in the Red Sea.

After a closed session of the Security Council, Sudan’s dissatisfaction with the way of managing the meeting, which was devoted to discussing attacks on the planes on the city of Port Sudan and other vital facilities.

He stressed that the meeting did not meet the aspirations of Sudan, pointing to Emirati interventions aimed at silence the voice of Sudan within the council, and obstructing its role in preserving international peace and security. Idris made direct accusations to the Emirates of carrying out attacks through advanced running planes that were launched from its military bases on the Red Sea, and at the request of the Rapid Support Militia (Janjaweed), targeting the Port Sudan airport and oil and service facilities in the city.

He pointed out that this escalation may be a retaliatory response to the targeting of an Emirati military plane in the city of Nyala on May 3, in an operation of the Sudanese Armed Forces, which killed 13 foreigners, including Emirati elements and a Kenyan pilot. Idris considered that this incident may be the direct cause of the attack on Port Sudan, as part of an inductive approach led by the UAE to compensate for the losses of the rapid support militia after its recent failures in central Sudan.

Idris also referred to what was reported in published reports, including what was documented by the “France 24” channel, about the delivery of Bulgarian mortars to the Emirati army, which is the same type of ammunition that appeared later in Sudan, in the hands of the rapid support militia.

He explained that Sudan expects the Security Council to deal seriously with this evidence, and that the UAE be imposed immediately to provide the militia with weapons and mercenaries. The United States and the European Union called for real pressure to stop what it described as the “war of aggression” on Sudan.

Stressing that the silence of the international community does not serve stability, but rather gives the aggressor more audacity to continue its violations.
