Officially, China launches a huge project in Sudan

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- The China Embassy in Sudan, officially announced the project to reduce poverty and support for the agricultural sector in the state of the Red Sea in Sudan, with funding from the China Fund for Global Development and Cooperation between the countries of the South and is implemented by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, as it provides important assistance to livelihoods of tens of thousands of farmers, sponsors and local fishermen.

She said in a statement on her official page that this project focuses on ways to live people and provides emergency assistance, such as seeds, agricultural machines, fishing equipment for farmers, shepherds, young hunters and mediums affected by the conflict.

She noted that the project will benefit more than 8,000 families, which helps solve the food and clothes problem for more than 40,000 people. Meanwhile, more than 360,000 farmers, sponsor and hunters are expected to benefit indirectly from public luxury activities such as animal epidemics and water gatherings management.

She emphasized that this project was innovatively presented the system of mature agricultural technology in China, with a focus on achieving breakthroughs in three main areas: First, providing high -quality vegetable seeds and publishing the techniques of planting and managing drought -resistant vegetables; Second, establishing a network to prevent animal diseases and combat them to reduce the death of livestock; Third, the application of effective water collection technology to relieve water shortage.

In commitment to the principle of “not leaving anyone behind the knees”, the Food and Agriculture Organization office in Sudan designed a gender equality unit and plans to provide targeted training for 1,000 women in the management of fish cooperatives, make fishing nets, fish equipment, cooking and marketing.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese embassy in Sudan, Changi Xiang Hua, said that while Sudan is going through a difficult period, the project is still steadily progressing. This is not only a reflection of the flexibility of cooperation between the two countries, but also a testament to the sincere friendship between China and Sudan, which has shared good and bad times.
