Khartoum state determines a chronological ceiling for the maintenance

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Eng. Khaled Omar Ahmed, Director of Roads and Maintenance Department in the state of Khartoum, about communication with a large number of local and international companies for the maintenance of the majority of Shambat and Al-Halfaya, awaiting financing.

He emphasized that the return of Kabir Shambat and Al -Halfaya to serve within 6 months or a year as the highest estimate if the necessary financing is available.

He said that the state has developed an integrated plan to re -maintain and rehabilitate the internal and main roads that were subjected to great ruin and destruction due to the rebel militia attacks.

He pointed out in his speech to the program (Kalti) on the Blue Nile channel that the state of Khartoum started an emergency plan in the year 2023 during the intensification of the battles and the beginning of the war, and the Western Nile road, which was subjected to great pressure during the recent period, was maintained, indicating that maintenance and rehabilitation operations included Al -Wadi Omdurman Street in 3 main sectors, Ahmed Sharafi, Makki and Doma sector.

He explained that the rebel militia cut a large number of streets and made defenses in it, revealing the largest challenges facing maintenance operations, which is the lack of mixers in Khartoum and comes from the mother of the birds in the state of the Nile River, along with a lack of financing.

The Director of Roads and Maintenance in the state of Khartoum said that the volume of damage and loss in bridges in the state of Khartoum is large and estimated at 420 billion dollars, and the cost was raised to Mr. Al -Wali, calling on government agencies, private institutions and regional and international organizations to contribute to support and financing maintenance and qualification of roads in Khartoum, revealing that they received a number of initiatives in this aspect.

He pointed out that all the bridges linking the localities in the state of Khartoum were damaged from the majority of Shambat, Al -Halfaya, Woodhir and Jabal Awlia
