Disclosure of exciting corruption details linked to the former white Nile Governor

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya Net- Activists accused the Minister of Finance in the White Nile State, Fatima Al-Hajj, of covering up a corruption case related to the former governor, Omar Al-Khalifa.

According to circulating information, the minister was planning to sign a contract retroactively in favor of the caliph through his son -in -law, Abdullah, to deliver a white sea warehouse, so that the Ministry of Finance obtains 40% of the revenues, while 60% of the successor of the caliph.

Sources indicated that Omar Al -Khalifa had directed the minister to complete the deal, but his departure prevented this, which later prompted him to pressure in order to sign retroactively.

And the website (Sri Arab News) published a report stating that the minister, while he was in Port Sudan, directed his deputies to complete the contract, but they refused, which led to the closure of the file.

Investigations revealed additional information that the company concerned did not meet the initial bid procedures, including providing the CV.

The Ministry of Finance Committee expressed a division of the company’s eligibility, suggesting that the warehouse can be operated directly by the ministry to provide the necessary fuel. Later, the company withdrew before it appeared when the minister was in Port Sudan, but he refused to sign the contract without adhering to all the terms of the purchase and contracting law, directing his deputy not to take any action until his return.

While the company’s representative met the Minister of Finance, the latter preferred to postpone any decisions until the new governor surrounds all the details.

This issue highlights the need to enhance transparency in managing public resources and ensuring that all contracts and procedures are subject to legal accountability, to avoid any suspicions of corruption that threatens the interests of citizens.
