In a sudden shift .. Abdul Wahid Nour absolves rapid support from crimes

Follow-up- Al-Zawiya n- Observers and political activists criticized Abdel Wahid Mohamed Nour, the leader of the Sudan Liberation Army, after his statements to the “Al-Hadath” channel, in which he denied that the rapid support militia committed the crime of genocide against the nationality of Al-Masalit in the city of Al-Geneina.

Nour’s statements were extensively angry and described as an explicit acquittal of the militia that documented international organizations, led by the United Nations, the United States and the European Union, involved in the committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, including the crime of genocide in Geneina and Raddata, West Darfur.

The reports of these bodies indicated that the rapid support militia and its allied militias carried out a bloody massacre documented with sound and image, and circulated by the world through video clips from the phones of the rapid support elements themselves, documenting the atrocities committed against the children of Al -Masalit, including women, children and elders.

In the context, the International Criminal Court affirmed its initiation of these crimes, and received statements from the Sultan of Al -Masalit and a number of witnesses, in the context of opening the collective annihilation file in Darfur, amid popular demands to accelerate justice procedures and hold the perpetrators accountable.

Observers believe that the attempt by Abdel Wahid Mohamed Nour to acquit the rapid support militia of these crimes is in the field of political collusion and reveals serious alignments at a time when atrocities are revealed that cannot be denied, considering that such statements represent an insult to the victims of genocide, and are in the interest of the perpetrators, not the victims.
